May 2010: The name Klarna was developed for a Swedish company working with safe and easy payments on the Internet. Dec 2009: Some time ago, Skriptor created a sub-brand name, Intenza, for a new premium chocolate range from Ukrainian Korona, a part of Kraft Foods. Korona Intenza comes in many variants and both as dark and milk chocolate. 1 Oct 2009: Swedish beverage company Spendrups launches Briska, a new cider product named by Skriptor. It is produced in cooperation with the South Swedish cider producer Kiviks Musteri. Two tastes are introduced: pear and pomegranate. Aug 2009: Pradaxa, a new anticoagulant from Boehringer Ingelheim, has received much attention because of the very good treatment results acheived. The drug is used for prevention of thrombosis in high risk patients. The name Pradaxa was developed by Skriptor. Feb 2009: Food retail and wholesale group Axfood launches a private label range of exclusively Fairtrade certified products. Called Aware, a name created by Skriptor, the brand is sold at Hemköp, Willys and PrisXtra. 12 products have been launched: tea, chocolate, coffee, tropical juices, among others. Jan 2009: Olof Lindquist is appointed Managing Director of Skriptor. He succeeds Peter Ekelund, who leaves his position on his own request. Peter wants to focus on the naming consultancy work but will still be engaged in the management and development of the company. 1 Jan 2009: The production unit of the Swedish Road Administration, Vägverket Produktion, is transformed into a public owned company. Skriptor created the name Svevia for the new company, a combination of the first letters of Sverige, the Swedish name of Sweden, and via, Latin for 'road'. Dec 2008: During the past year, a new chain of fashion stores has been launched in Sweden. Eztrad, named by Skriptor, has opened stores in four Swedish cities. May 2008: Securitas Systems changes its name to Niscayah as a part of a new identity and profiling strategy. The new, very distinctive name is taken from Sanskrit and means 'certainty'. Niscayah is an international corporation, engaging in technology-based security solutions for organisations who require protection for major sites and estates. 10 Apr 2008: Skriptor and Groth & Co will give seminars (in Swedish) on trademarks and naming, in Lund and Malmö. Please contact Skriptor for more information. 16 Jan 2008: Menigo and Goodpoint are two of the many names created by Skriptor, that were launched in 2007. Menigo Foodservice is a large wholesale company, serving restaurants, catering firms and convenience stores. Goodpoint is a result of a new service from Skriptor (see Services) specially made for design and advertising agencies. Goodpoint is one of the leading consulting firms in Sweden for development in the field of environment and social responsibility. 10 Jan 2008: Small Naming Service launched. This is a new service for smaller companies and for naming projects with a limited budget: names for small companies or subsidiaries, brand or subbrand names for use in Sweden or Scandinavia. Dec 2007: Interview with Peter Ekelund, Skriptor, in Brand News (in Swedish) about name creation: Kärt barn har många namn. 12 Dec 2007: Allum is the name of Steen & Ström's mall in Partille close to Gothenburg. It was opened about a year ago and has grown to a very popular shopping and eating place in the area. A recently performed market research showed an extremely high recognition of the shopping mall and the name in the Gothenburg area. This could be connected to the high distinctiveness of Allum, which was created by Skriptor in a project with Steen & Ström and the agency Valentin & Byhr Partners. 4 June 2007: Skriptor welcomes Kristina Björnerstedt as naming consultant. 25 May 2007: Inauguration of Dedicare, a recruitment company within healthcare, daughter company of Poolia. 1 Feb 2007: Skriptor developed the name Modette for a new national fashion magazine. The editorial is Egmont and from October Modette will be an online fashion community exclusively. 10 Oct 2006: Skriptor is pleased to have assisted Saab with strategies and guidelines to be used in connection with product naming for the whole group. 1 Oct 2006: Launch of a new naming service for design- and ad agencies. Skriptor offers to assist agencies in naming challenges regarding the Swedish and Nordic markets in a swift and cost effective way. More information 12 Sept 2006: Capacent is a full service consultant house with many years of experience. The company is a merger of IMG (Iceland) and KPMG (Denmark). In the naming project Skriptor collaborated with A&P Árnason, patent agency in Reykjavik. 1 Aug 2006: Skriptor has developed the name for UAV (Unmanned AerialVehicle) V-150 for Saab Group - Skeldar. Skeldar is an old nordic word for "shield". |
